The new-build of the De Zilvervogel residential care centre is located near the church of the village of Lo-Reninge. The spacious building, which is surrounded by nature and fields full of maize, enjoys a great deal of natural light. The residential care centre partnered with the hospitality creators of Studio M and Moments Furniture for the concept of the bistro, living areas, lounge corners and reception area, as well as the required furniture.
From the moment you enter, you can’t help being struck by the amount of light that falls in through the many windows. The stylish interior exudes warmth too, because of the natural wood used extensively. The many shades of green, combined with the pale wood, create a general sense of calm. The bistro has a long dining table, for families or groups, ensuring that anyone can dine here, not just the residents.
The reception area, which looks out onto the courtyard, and the many lounge corners were furnished with adapted furniture. The high back Cosmo in the reception area is extremely comfortable. In the lounge corners, antique furniture and decorative objects have been combined with the Bolton armchair to create a comfortable, welcoming and familiar setting for residents with dementia.
